As well as delivering research and evaluation projects for our clients, we also provide consultancy and advice, bespoke to meet specific needs. This might include support with developing an evaluation framework such as a Logic Model Framework or Theory of Change, building an evaluation plan or providing an advisory, ‘critical friend’ role. For example, advising on GDPR or ethical research considerations, providing training on research and evaluation techniques or other types of support such as peer review or stakeholder mapping. We can also offer standalone options such as hosting an online survey or undertaking data analysis.
The examples below of the types of consultancy we have provided are by no means exhaustive, please get in touch if you would like to talk about how we could work with you.
We supported a client to build their knowledge of qualitative research including understanding the advantages and limitations of using depth interviews and focus groups, and key differences between qualitative and quantitative research. We produced training materials and bespoke training sessions to build internal capacity.
We worked with a client to develop their Theory of Change, informed by extensive desk-based research and engagement with their internal and external stakeholders. We further developed this by building on the evaluation framework to produce a comprehensive evaluation plan, with timelines, resource considerations and recommendations about data collection tools and templates that could be used to collect case study evidence.
Drawing on our sector expertise and experience undertaking literature reviews, we have undertaken peer review of research reports and other outputs, providing comprehensive feedback as part of the process.
We design and deliver online surveys across multiple industry sectors. Online surveys are hosted on our secure licenced platform and can be customised to reflect client branding and incorporate aspects such as password protection, quota tracking and automated reminders.
Virtually all our projects collect and analyse qualitative research data or quantitative research data. We use analysis tools and software to undertake statistical testing and weighting as required. We can offer a standalone data analysis service – for example this may be analysis of responses to a public consultation.
