Ellie Moore

BA, MSc, MMRS – Senior Researcher

Social researcher and evaluator. Music and nature enthusiast.

What I do

My role involves working closely with organisations and stakeholders to build evidence that can underpin their decision-making, assess impact and help drive improvements. In my role as Senior Researcher, I am part of Harlow Consulting’s evaluation and research projects from beginning to end. I work on all aspects of a project including – project management, creating bespoke methodologies, collecting and analysing data and writing final reports.

Areas of specialism

Mixed methods research, evaluation and participatory methods. I enjoy combining my in-depth listening skills, through interviews and focus groups, with my skills in survey design, data analysis and desk research to create insightful reports. Over the six years since obtaining my master’s in social research, I have worked with various sectors and organisations including the NHS, public sector bodies, charities and health technology.

At Harlow, I specialise in evaluation. Due to my previous career in delivering funding programmes to support musicians and music organisations, my specialist knowledge lies within programme, process and impact evaluation relating to grant programmes.

I believe in the power of quality research and evaluation to ensure that a range of voices are heard and that good decisions are made. I feel most satisfaction in my work when I am undertaking projects that are going to make a difference to organisations and people. I’m particularly interested in ensuring that research and evaluation methodologies and results are accessible and engaging.
